Call for Proposals

DALINC invites session proposals for the 2020 Driftless Conference, the theme of which is gathering, using and analyzing data. To have your presentation considered for selection, please complete the 2020 LINC-up Presenter Application .

Breakout sessions

We are looking to showcase the practical collection, analysis, and application of data within public and academic libraries. If you have expertise or experience with any of the following or other related topics, please consider sharing your knowledge at the conference!

Ideas to get you started:

  • Using data to improve user experience
  • Using data for collection development, program planning, long-range planning, etc.
  • Using demographic data, open data, etc. 
  • Successful surveys or other tools in data collection
  • Improving efficiencies through data, benchmarking, etc. 
  • Telling your institution’s story with data or data visualization
  • Data usage in grant applications or evaluation
Session Guidelines:
  • Sessions will be 50 minutes long, with presentations lasting approximately 40 minutes, and 10 minutes allowed for Q&A. 
  • Presentations may be done solo or as a group.
  • Presenters may make use of PowerPoint, Prezi, or other similar presentation software. 
Additional Information
  • Use a separate application form for each of your proposals.
  • If selected as a presenter, your completed presentation must be submitted by Friday, March 27th. 
  • Presenters will receive $10 off their conference registration.
