Statistics Show and Tell
Presented by:
- Victor Lieberman, Northeast Iowa Community College, Moderator
- Andrew Fuerste-Henry, Dubuque County Library District, Panelist
- Mike Kerth, Carnegie-Stout Public Library, Panelist
Session Description:
Whether public, private, school or academic, all libraries gather usage statistics to report to various local, state, and national boards & agencies. What story do your statistics tell? Are you satisfied that they accomplish your goal to effectively communicate the work done by your library? Do you use any special data visualization tools to illustrate trends, correlations, or other highlights?
Bring copies of a report for your institution that you’d like to discuss and receive feedback on. Share successes and challenges. Are we getting a good return on our often considerable time investment preparing these records? And gather ideas from the experiences and feedback of colleagues!
