About DCR
DALINC (Dubuque Area Library Information Consortium) empowers libraries to meet evolving community needs through collaboration, innovation, and equitable access to information. Dubuque County Reads (DCR), a signature DALINC initiative, promotes literacy, fosters civic engagement, and encourages respectful dialogue on timely social issues. Each year, DCR selects a book and companion youth title to spark county-wide conversations. Core activities include distributing free books, hosting inclusive book discussions, and partnering with local organizations to offer events that reflect the book’s themes.
